Building a High-Performance Engineering Hub in India: From Vision to Execution

Recognizing an opportunity to optimize costs and enhance engineering capabilities, I conceived and executed the strategy to establish a high-impact engineering team in India—delivering $2.4 million in annual savings while achieving 70% higher quality, 60% faster onboarding, and 50% lower attrition. I independently built the business case, demonstrating the long-term advantages of an India-based team and successfully secured C-suite approval by aligning the initiative with the company’s strategic objectives. From there, I led the entire execution, selecting the location, overseeing office setup, and driving the recruitment and onboarding of 15 software engineers, an engineering manager, and 3 QA testers. My hands-on leadership ensured seamless integration with global teams, while also establishing scalable processes that enhanced productivity and innovation. This initiative not only reduced costs but also created a sustainable talent pipeline, positioning the new team as a core driver of engineering excellence and long-term competitive advantage.
